One of our clients reached out with a challenge I find truly exciting: intensifying a chemical process to make it both more efficient and safer.
Their idea was straightforward: transition from batch processing to a continuous flow process. By working with volumes as small as a few milliliters, they could improve yields, gain better control over reactions, and—most importantly—dramatically reduce risks in case of an incident.
However, they struggled to find a suitable mixer for their process. The options available were either incompatible with corrosive substances, poorly sized, or simply impossible to integrate into their setup. That’s when they turned to Manetco.
Together, we tackled the mixer’s design, material selection, and manufacturing technologies to create custom components tailored for 1/16" and 1/8" stainless steel tubing and VICI fittings. Now, we’re exploring the feasibility of versions made from PEEK, a high-performance, ultra-resistant material, to push the boundaries even further.
This project perfectly illustrates the kind of challenges we often face when evolving a process to make it more efficient, precise, and safe—without wasting months adapting solutions that don’t yet exist. It’s exactly what drives us at Manetco:
