The goal of this course is to help researchers to understand how 3D printing technologies can revolutionise their daily work.
During this course, we propose to share 5 years of experience spent in learning and following the evolution of the different 3D printing technologies like Stereolithography (SLA), Selective Laser Sintering (SLS), Material Jetting ...
We will present and discuss 3D printing technologies capable to create parts with biocompatibles materials (USP Class VI capable) or which are chemically resistant, like stainless steel, polyamide, PVDF...We will talk about the design opportunities but also the limitations of the technologies.
We will also cover challenges not completely addressed by the technology (like the required post-treatment or the surface roughness) and strategies to solve these questions.
During this course you will learn:
The working principles of the 3D printing technologies
The available materials which can be printed (stainless steel, polyamide, PVDF, ceramic, glass ...)
Detailled description of technologies generally used for (bio)chemical labs
Post treatment possibitities and strategies to create very precise parts for microfluidic and flow chemistry applications
Included in the course fee, the participant will receive the presentation and the references used for the course. The goal of the course is to stimulate discussions about concret projects or questions. The training can be given in English or in French.
We will limit the number of participants to 10 persons and we will contact the participants before the course to better understand their interest and adapt the content to their needs.
The participants will have the possibility to ask questions about the feasiblity or the technology required for their project (during the course or during a private session). If a participant need our design services after the course, a discount price will be applied.
